Awaken announces disbanding of CS:GO roster
After a rather successful five months of competition, it is with heavy heart that we announce the dissolution of the Awaken CSGO roster. Over the course of their time with us, the CSGO team made great strides as a competitive team, and in almost every event they participated in they had dominating performances.
Although we were consistently pleased to see the team's progress from event to event, the days preceding and following a loss that ended what seemed to be a guaranteed road to ESL premiership took a major toll on the morale and stability of the roster, which ultimately affected the chemistry needed and it reached a point where all players felt that it was necessary to split the team up in order for future growth, and the rebuilding of the chemistry needed for success.
Following the dissolution, Ross "Velor" Grogwn shared a few words on this,
"My time with Awaken was one of the best times of my life, and it was an absolute pleasure to be a part of this organization. Everyone had a lot of expectations but we should have won in UK premiership without any issues solely due to the talent we had on the roster but losing on Monday was the last time. It started going down hill when original members decided to leave but never had much time to fully evaluated what players we could have picked up as registration for next season was creeping closer"
In the end, we'd like to thank everyone across the CS:GO community who cheered us on these last few months. Your support was critical to our growth and success as a team and we hope you've enjoyed watching as much as we've enjoyed competing.
